At Reading Libraries there is a special section for young adult readers – aged 14+ – with fiction, books on CD, graphic novels and information books.

From gritty realistic fiction through fantasy to chic lit - it's all here.  We have series such as Point Horror, Demonata and Maximum Ride graphic novels, including Aliens™ and Tombraider™.   The range of fiction is wide, often tackling controversial issues or teenage experiences, and there are audio books featuring some of the best authors around.

Why not branch out and have a look at the rest of the library? There are Horror, Crime, Action/Adventure and Science Fiction sections in all our branches and, at Reading Central Library, there is a section dedicated to Local History (including maps of Reading), an extensive collection of music CDs and lots of Internet terminals.

Studying for exams? There are study guides all the major topics at GCSE and A & AS levels. There are also information books on a wide range of subjects including health, travel, sport and music.
