You can use the Library Catalogue to:

Make Reservations

Reservations for items in stock in our libraries are FREE. To request a reservation click on the button “Request First Available Copy".

Make Renewals

Enter your barcode and PIN. Click on “Items out” then click in the small box next the item(s) you wish to renew. We are unable to renew overdue items or where there is an outstanding charge on the ticket.

Receive Notifications

You can have all our notifications (reservations ready for collection and overdue notices) sent by email. After entering your barcode and PIN click on “Profile” and enter your email address in the box provided.

Library Elf

Reading Libraries cardholders may register with LIBRARY ELF, a service run by a private company that allows you to receive email notices before items are due back, view due dates in a calendar format, keep track of all the families' tickets and more.

Local Illustrations

We have approximately 3000 photographs and illustrations to view. Click on the “Local illustrations” button to see if your area is on yet. If not, revisit at a later date as new material is added all the time.
