About the Library

Palmer Park library is a busy community library situated within the grounds of Palmer Park, very near to the children’s play area. It opened in 1937.

  • Selection of magazines including: Women & Home, Practical Parenting & a number of Asian periodicals
  • Free Internet access - 3 public terminals available
  • Access to the library catalogue
  • Photocopier
  • Fax
  • Study space
  • Sales – greetings cards & stamps
  • Parents and carers can join the Toy Library and reserve and collect toys at Palmer Park Library

  • Storytime and Rhymetime: times can be found here
  • We have an annual Summer Reading Challenge run every year during school summer holidays
  • We welcome visits from schools, nurseries, playgroups and other children’s groups – please contact the library to arrange a visit

Palmer Park Library can be visited using bus number 17

By CAR:
Parking is available in Palmer Park and along St Bartholomew’s Road.

There is pram access from the park area to the library.
