About the Library

Caversham Library is a Carnegie building which opened in 1907. It is a busy branch library situated in the heart of Caversham. It has a very distinctive clock tower.

  • Sales – greetings cards, postcards and stamps
  • Parents and carers can join the Toy Library and reserve and collect toys at Caversham Library

Events

  • Storytime and Rhymetime: times can be found here
  • ‘Chatterbooks’ book group for 8-12 year olds, meets every first Thursday of the month 4.00 - 4.45 at the library. If you would like to join, ask staff for details.
  • We have an annual Summer Reading Challenge run every year during school summer holidays

By BUS:
Caversham Library can be visited using bus numbers 9, 27,44, 45, 329

By CAR:
The nearest car park to Caversham Library is in Chester Street. Disabled customers may use the car park at the rear of the library.

There is a wheelchair ramp at the front entrance.
